Office Manager
I grew up in Northern, MN and graduated from St. Francis High School. My original plan was not to go into dental, but to go into dermatology. I worked part time as a Dental Coordinator and quickly grew to love the position. With my love for math, I eventually grew to become an Office Manager, which led me to University Ave Dental. My favorite part about the dental field is helping patients understand insurance as well as organizing their treatment plans to best fit their needs and lifestyle. Outside of Dental I enjoy gardening, keeping up with my chickens, and hiking. I also have a dog (Duke) who comes with me on all my outdoor adventures.
Dental Hygienist
I was born in Mankato and raised in Lakeland, MN on the St. Croix River. I started at the University of MN and decided to study dental hygiene.
Life wasn’t stressful enough so I married my highschool sweetheart after my first year and we have one daughter and two sons who have given me 7 beautiful grandchildren. My husband and I currently have 3 dogs and they keep us laughing!
I could not have picked a more perfect career for me as a Dental Hygienist! I enjoy the diversity of patients and all ages but most of all, I love to welcome everyone with no shame, teach them about what I see in their mouth, and help them achieve their goals to get to a beautiful smile!
I look forward to meeting longtime patients as well as new patients.
I graduated from the University of North Dakota (go Sioux) in 1992 with a degree in political science, spanish and psychology. My intention at that time was to go onto dental school. After deciding instead to pursue a career in dental hygiene, I enrolled at Normandale Community College. I have been a registered dental hygienist since 1996 and have been with Blakeslee Dental for the past 9 years. I wish I would have found them earlier!!
I love working with Dr. Blakeslee and all the girls; they truly are fun to be around. The best thing is that we ALL enjoy our jobs and want to improve the health of our patients.
I have 3 children who keep me busy with hockey, fast pitch, lacrosse and yes, more hockey. I also have a 4th child – Charli – our golden retriever who loves 24 hour attention.
Valentyna earned her Dental assisting degree from Hennepin Technical College and has been assisting ever since 2021. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends. She strives to make each patient as comfortable as possible, and truly enjoys her role as an assistant. She is proud to be a part of the University Ave. Dental team!
I have been a registered Dental Assistant since 2001. I started working at University Ave Dental in May 2023. I very much enjoy working with the patients and helping them feel comfortable. During my free time I have 2 German shepherds and 4 cats that keep me busy.I also enjoy spending time with family and friends.
I am originally from Cambodia and I came to live in the United States in 1980 and got my American name when I became a U.S. Citizen. I am a mother of two and a grandmother of three. I started as a Dental Coordinator for 15 + years. My favorite part about my job is getting to know and see patients complete their treatment and fall in love with their smile.
Outside of dental, my favorite hobby is cooking and gathering up with my siblings as much as I can. I love spending time with my family outdoors as much as possible.
My name is Heidi and I am a Dynamite Dental Hygienist born and raised in Minnesota. I live locally in Oak Grove and enjoy meeting locals. I have 2 sons that keep my life shining and sparkling every day. Me and my husband enjoy eating at new restaurants and love to get recommendations on new places to try. The passion that led me into the dental field is helping each and everyone of my patients have their best smile, have healthy gums and teeth, and to reach everyone’s unique cosmetic goals.

I have been a dental hygienist since 1989, graduated from University of Minnesota Duluth. I have enjoyed working with the staff at Blakeslee Dental since 1998. While making each patients experience unique to their needs, I find it rewarding to help them achieve a higher level of health.
I balance my work schedule by spending time with my husband, our two daughters, and our dog.
